Management Kaizen: A 1/2 Day Workshop with Bruce Hamilton
(Weather Note: There are no plans to postpone this event due to the weather forecast; However if you choose to not attend due to weather-related concerns, we can give you a credit for the tuition.)
Close out 2013 and prepare to jump start 2014 with a commitment to LEAD your company’s lean implementation.
Management Kaizen isn’t about 5S or kaizen blitzes. If Kaizen means small changes for the better that come from the common sense and experience of the people who do the work, then Management Kaizen means small changes for the better made by management to better align strategy, organization, policy and people in order to create a favorable environment for company-wide continuous improvement.
But what does that mean you need to do? GBMP’s Management Kaizen ½ day workshop will explain the six key management functions that are mission critical for a successful lean deployment, and almost always missing in stalled implementations.
Lean philosophy creates a foundation for lean strategy on the one hand and a need for the tools of lean (countermeasures are the means used to close the gap between the current condition and the ideal that is articulated in that strategy). These countermeasures are tremendously effective in any environment – factory, administrative, clinical, municipal, and more; an attack on Muda can and should occur everywhere. And at the center of this Lean model is continuous human development. Given the lean ideal condition, “True North” policy deployment provides a framework to link breakthrough strategic improvement to daily management of the business. On the one side is the management system and practice that enable an organization to strive for improvement. This management system is the topic of today’s seminar.
Who should attend? This workshop is for company owners, C level executives, general/operations/plant managers, first line supervisors, human resources, healthcare administrators, change leaders, lean champions and other professionals who fill top management roles.
