In case an event can not be held due to inclement weather or other reasons, GBMP will post this information on this website on the event's web page. Please always check the GBMP website for an event's status to check for last minute changes.

Public Workshops (one and two-day)

GBMP Public Workshops are specially designed one or two-day training opportunities which reflect our philosophy that the process of acquiring knowledge is best done through tacit learning. Therefore almost all GBMP training events take place at a member or client facility and divide the day between classroom learning and shop-floor implementation of concepts learned in the classroom. (Note: some workshops have prerequisite reading or coursework. Please see individual event description for details.)

Multi-week Certificate Courses

GBMP offers Lean and Six Sigma certification courses several times throughout the year. These eight-week training modules take place at a member or client facility and divide the days between classroom learning and shop-floor implementation of concepts learned in the classroom. Attendees who complete these courses are awarded a certificate of achievement.

Plant Tours (for GBMP members only)

These invaluable events allow companies who have successfully begun implementing Lean initiatives to showcase their results and enable participants to benchmark their own CI efforts. The fee for plant tours is $49 per attendee, limited to 2 spots per member company.

Manufacturing Roundtable Speaker Series

Founded in 1979, the Manufacturing Roundtable Speaker Series is a monthly breakfast meeting with a notable speaker and is an excellent networking opportunity for participating companies. Middlesex Community College in Bedford, Massachusetts, is the 2008 Roundtable host and sponsor.
