This Lean Certification Review Program, taught by GBMP Continuous Improvement Manager Patricia Wardwell, is designed to help prepare you to take the Lean Bronze Certification Examination which is being offered on Saturday, December 12, 2009 (see below for Examination information).

During the two-day review program, we will review the exam body of knowledge and associated reading materials, in order to help you understand topics and questions that may appear on the exam. The class will also help you understand all of the SME Bronze level certification requirements. As a result, you will be better prepared and more focused to succeed at SME Bronze Lean Certification. Review activities include:

• Review of the Body of Knowledge

• Practice exercises

• Sample test questions

• Review of recommended reading materials

• Discussion about the SME Bronze Lean Certification portfolio requirements

The Exam: Candidates must apply to take the exam separately from registering for this course (though the exam will be taken the day after the course concludes, in the same location). The exam cost is $445 for GBMP, SME & AME members and Shingo Prize Examiners and $690 for all others. Please download and remit the application and payment (check or credit card) by Tuesday, November 24, 2009 to LGlikes@gbmp.org. The exam will be administered on Saturday, December 12 from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm. The exam may be taken online, so bring your laptop. Wireless internet access will be provided. If you require a paper-and-pencil exam, please note it on the application. (Please note: you must choose one testing method. Once chosen, it cannot be changed. Internet is definitely the preferred method.)

Required Materials: It is imperitive that all attendees purchase the book package, read the books and bring them to the review course. A laptop and power cord
a powerstrip and extension cord
a non-programmable calculator
your books (the book "Lean Lexicon" is also allowed)
a pencil and scrap paper and
a picture id
