GBMP & The Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence Northeast: Excellence in Operations and Lean Recognition Programs
GBMP, as administrator of the Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence in eleven states, offers companies two ways to recognize Lean improvement and achievements made and sustained by its employees:
The Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence has its own website at www.neshingoprize.org. Please visit the site to learn more about the prize that Business Week called "the Nobel Prize for manufacturing". Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and are awarded at the Northeast Shingo Prize Conference held every October in New England. The website has PDF downloads of the Shingo Model and the Business Guidelines for applying. Call us at anytime if you have questions about the prize or the process of challenging for the prize. The Silver Toaster Award for Employee Excellence in Lean was developed to recognize and reward one outstanding employee who has embraced Lean - who performs his or her job exceptionally well, always with Lean in mind, who helps others implement Lean concepts and who exemplifies the Vision, Values and Standards of the Award.
